JAN. 9 -- The Varsity Boys Basketball team won its eighth home game of the season Tuesday night, beating Fellowship Christian 74-42. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Patriots and pushed their overall record on the season to 10-6 (4-3). With nine regular season games remaining, Mount Pisgah is poised and ready for a strong stretch run that features some of their toughest tests of the year.

The 2018-19 season has seen its share of highlights so far, including an overtime victory over Centennial to start the season and a hard-fought home win over Lovett on 11/20. The Patriots also erased a 20-point halftime deficit to come from behind and beat Wesleyan on 12/1 and tallied emphatic region victories over Mount Paran, Pinecrest, and King's Ridge in December.
The Patriots have been led in scoring by three perimeter players averaging double figures: senior Quinn Richey (17.6), junior Chandler Minton (10.4), and sophomore Chase Tucker (10.2). Sophomore forward Nate Gordon has anchored the team defensively, averaging 7.6 rebounds per game and posting 30 blocks in the first 15 games of the season.
The Patriots take on Mount Bethel in the Drum this Friday, Jan. 11.
