NOV. 12 -- The Mount Pisgah Varsity Girls Basketball season starts on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at home in the Drum and new Head Coach Angela Crosby is very excited about the 2018-2019 team. With six players returning and four new freshmen, the future is bright.
"We are fortunate to have such seasoned returning players who are eager to lead our freshman this year," Crosby said. Senior Anna Mancil, an All-Region Team member, and sophomore Megan Childress, an All-Region honorable mention member, are looking forward to returning to the team and having a great season. Additional returning leadership includes Megan Messinger, Jordana Jimenez, Taylor Bater, and Felecia Huang. The talented freshmen are Caroline Morrison, Rebecca Dworkin, Dani Chesbrough, and Tiwa Daramola.
Coach Crosby said of the team: "I have been extremely pleased with the overall effort and eagerness to lead their team and please our coaching staff. All of the players have worked extremely hard to learn a different philosophy, different coaching styles, and expectations. We are fortunate to have had some good practices and time together to build our relationships on and off the court."
Coach Crosby encourages "all of our Patriot fans to come out and support this amazing group of young ladies. We are all excited about this season and can't wait to see you in the stands as we honor Christ with the gifts he has given us."
The Patriots play Centennial at home in the Drum on Tuesday, November 13 at 6:00 p.m.
