Varsity Wrestling Scores Three Big Wins in First Home Match

NOV. 29 -- On Wednesday night the JV and Varsity Wrestling teams had their first home match versus St. Francis, Mount Paran, and Fellowship.

The team started the night with a 66-6 win over Fellowship. Next the team faced area rival St. Francis and won 65-18. The last match of the night was against Mount Paran. The team had a slow start, trailing 24-6 because of a few forfeits, but sophomore Cam Johnson got the team rolling with a pin. The team did not lose another match and won 60-24.

This is the first time ever the team has scored over 60 points in a 3-match span. Numerous wrestlers went undefeated for the night and everyone contributed to the team wins.

The Varsity team travels to Towns County this weekend for the King of the Mountain Tournament.
