Middle School Wrestling Ends Season

JAN. 28 -- Over the weekend the Middle School Wrestling team finished off its season at the Chattahoochee League Championships hosted by the Lovett School.

Once the tournament started, it was clearly a two-team race between Mount Pisgah and Lovett for the top spot. After battling back and forth, Lovett finished with 222 points versus Mount Pisgah's 212 points, so the Patriots finished in 2nd place overall. The 3rd place team was Marist with 142 points.

Despite not getting 1st place, the team had seven wrestlers in the finals and numerous others who placed. Durban Carpenter, Tyler Nelson, Joey Bertrand, and Joy Chane all finished 1st. Runner-ups included Brady Nardella, Andrew Blevins, and Aaron Kruse. Third-place finishers included: Gentry Arnette and Lindsey Noble. Harrington Arnette finished in fifth, and Max Greene finished in sixth. Other placers included Tyler Hunnicutt, Jake Schmitz, Praise Chane, and Hunter Grube.
